Services for BlackBerry UEM and Intune
Each service has a defined scope, a written outcome and a completion date. You know in advance what you will receive, and your team can continue working with it even if someone else later handles implementation.

A second opinion without a product interest
I do not sell licences, operations or hosting. My recommendation therefore does not depend on which product, licence agreement or operations contract follows. This also makes my services useful to IT service providers and partners: a concept I review or write remains your concept.
If the best answer is “do not migrate yet” or “use the existing licence differently”, that is exactly what I write, with the reasoning.
01 / Architecture
BlackBerry UEM architecture check
An upgrade or expansion is coming up, or something is not working and nobody can pinpoint where.
You learn which assumptions underpin your environment, where dependencies are unclear and where users, administration or security lose out unnecessarily. This is the right starting point when an upgrade, expansion or change of direction is coming up, or when “something is not working” and nobody can pinpoint where.
- Who it is for
- Architects and IT leaders with an existing BlackBerry UEM environment
- What you receive
- an annotated overview of the architecture and its dependencies
- prioritised findings with reasoning and consequences
- specific next steps in a practical order
- Scope
- 2 days, fixed price following a short intro call. One defined environment, up to three agreed use cases, an intro call and a results discussion.
- What I need
- Architecture documents or exports of the relevant settings, and a contact for follow-up questions
- Not included
- Changes to your environment and ongoing operations. A check is an assessment, not a certification.
02 / Security
Security & policy review
Internal audit, data protection or an auditor is asking whether your policies really provide protection.
You see whether policies, profiles and data paths actually meet the agreed protection requirements. I compare requirements, settings and actual effects, and explain trade-offs between protection and usability openly.
- Who it is for
- Security leads, UEM administrators, data protection and internal audit teams
- What you receive
- a matrix mapping protection requirements to settings
- findings with risk implications and recommendations
- a test plan your team can use to verify the effects independently
- Scope
- 3 days, fixed price following a short intro call. One predefined policy or access scenario, for example email access, internal web apps or data transfers on iOS.
- What I need
- Your protection requirements or policy requirements, and exports of the affected policies and profiles
- Not included
- formal audit, penetration testing, certification
03 / Decision
BlackBerry, Intune or both?
The platform decision is on the table: keep it running, switch or combine.
You receive a reasoned decision between continued operation, switching and combining platforms, based on your applications, data paths, identities and operational requirements. I assess every option against the same criteria and state the condition under which the recommendation would change.
- Who it is for
- IT leaders, enterprise architects and project leads facing a platform decision
- What you receive
- a prepared remote workshop on goals and criteria
- an options matrix with counterarguments
- a recommendation with conditions and a list of evidence still missing before the decision
- Scope
- 1–3 days, fixed price following a short intro call
- What I need
- Details from you on business-critical applications and user groups, existing licences and their terms
- Not included
- licence sales, vendor proposals, implementation
04 / Installation & migration
Installation and migration strategy
A platform needs to be set up, or a switch is coming up and needs a plan.
I carry out the initial installation of your UEM platform together with your team, documenting it so you can operate it yourselves afterwards. If the new platform replaces an existing one, I first develop the migration strategy where needed: which functions are missing at the destination, which dependencies constrain the switch and how you recognise a successful pilot.
- Who it is for
- Teams introducing BlackBerry UEM or Microsoft Intune or switching between UEM platforms, and implementation partners
- What you receive
- an installed base environment with documentation
- a handover to your operations team
- where needed, a migration strategy covering functional gaps, dependencies, pilot and wave criteria and a Go/No-Go decision
- Scope
- Installation takes 2–4 days, depending on the environment and functionality, such as Single Sign-on. Fixed price following a short intro call. The migration strategy covers 3 days for a defined migration path.
- What I need
- Access to the target environment and its prerequisites, contacts for networking and identity, and, for a switch, an inventory of the existing platform
- Not included
- ongoing operations, operation of a migration tool, automated device migration
05 / Concepts
Device management concept & ghostwriting
A device management concept needs to be completed for your organisation, a tender or your client.
I structure and write comprehensive device management concepts. I draw on experience from large client projects with up to 65,000 devices using BlackBerry UEM and MS Intune. I have developed these concepts both for projects I managed myself and on several occasions as a ghostwriter for other consultants.
On request, I also review an existing draft, for example an AI-generated concept, for incorrect assumptions, mixed versions and unsupported security promises.
- Who it is for
- Consultants and IT service providers, architecture teams and those responsible for tenders
- What you receive
- an agreed outline
- completed chapters with a list of assumptions and sources
- one feedback round per section
- Scope
- In sections of 5 days, with a fixed price per section following a short intro call. A complete concept is developed over several agreed sections.
- What I need
- Requirements, constraints, existing documents and a contact for subject-matter decisions
- Responsibility
- The concept is issued under your name and your responsibility. Confidentiality is standard.
06 / Training
Technical training in your environment
Your team needs to understand the environment as well as operate it.
Your team understands how the components work together and can explain decisions and failure patterns themselves. I teach using your architecture rather than a textbook scenario.
- Who it is for
- UEM administrators, new architects, security and operations teams
- What you receive
- agreed learning goals
- a system map of your environment
- exercises in a suitable test environment and a short list for applying the learning
- Scope
- 1–4 days remotely, no more than 6 participants, two modules per day. Preparation is listed separately in the proposal.
- What I need
- Participants’ prior knowledge and access to a test or lab environment
How we start working together
You briefly describe your environment and your goal. In a free intro call of around 10 minutes, we establish which service fits and which documents I need. You then receive a fixed price proposal with scope, outcome and timing.
What happens if the review reveals more than agreed?
I tell you before continuing. Any additional scope is agreed only with your consent.
Do you also work on site?
The services are designed for remote delivery. On-site appointments are possible by agreement.
Let us discuss your plans.
Whether you need architecture advice, further development of your UEM environment, training or a comprehensive technical concept: briefly describe your environment and your goal.
